ECTS Grades and Statistics

The ECTS grading scale is a grading system defined in the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) framework by the European Commission. In our programme the ECTS grade is limited to the overall grade and only included in the diploma supplement.
ECTS grades (relative grades) are assigned according to the distribution of absolute grades of a 5-year timespan and are built according to the following rule:

  • grade A corresponds to the grades obtained by the best 10% of students;
  • grade B corresponds to the grades obtained by the next 25%;
  • grade C corresponds to the grades obtained by the next 30%;
  • grade D corresponds to the grades obtained by the next 25%;
  • grade E corresponds to the grades obtained by the final 10%.
